About Dr. Ujjval Deliwala

Dr.Ujjval Deliwala is Orthopedic Arthroscopic Surgeon from Bhavnagar, Gujarat & doing exclusive Arthroscopic work since last 11 years in entire Saurashtra. He did his MS(ortho.)from V.S.Hospital, Ahmedabad in 2008. From very beginning, he had keen interest in Arthroscopy & ligament injuries. He was trained for Arthroscopy under senior Arthroscopist Dr.Abhay Narvekar in Mumbai at various reputed hospitals including Hinduja , Asian heart and Bridgecandy hospitals and got vast exposure at very early stage. After having these basic exposure he got opportunity in USA ,Hospital for Joint Diseases,NY in 2009 for fellowship in Advanced Arthroscopy. With blessings and help from Dr.Dinesh Patel(USA) who is founder of Arthroscopy in America , he was lucky enough to be trained in Bio kill lab of Smith-nephew at Mansfield and Andover, Boston during his stay in USA. He also did Advanced Masters experience Shoulder course under Dr.Stephen Snyder, a Pioneer in Shoulder arthroscopy at Rosemont, Chicago,USA in 2009. In Canada, Sunnybrook Health Sciences he came across many Complex and Revision Shoulder Arthroscopy procedure .After basic and advanced training in Arthroscopy he had worked as Assistant Professor in Govt.hopspital ,Bhavnagar for more than two years. He had been selected by ESSKA( European Society of Sports traumatology & Knee Arthroscopy ) for fellowship Programme in 2010 at world renowned sports Medicine centre in Porto, Portugal under Prof. Joao Mendes and learnt many things regarding sports injuries in Porto. In last 6 years of private practice he did more than 1000 arthroscopic surgeries in Saurastra, Gujarat and became one of the leading Arthroscopic surgeon there. He has worked as Consulting Arthroscopic surgeon in Wockhardt ,HCG & Sterling Hospitals of Bhavnagar & Rajkot. He has done many scientific presentations at regional and national level including Gujarat Orthopaedic Association( GOA) & Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS) conference and got many prizes too. As a founder member of the Indian Cartilage Society, he has done work hard with society in various academic activities in last two years. He was as junior team member for the ICS (Indian Cartilage Society ) consensus meeting. He has co-authored for Booklet on various cartilage repair techniques and published many articles related to arthroscopic surgeries in abstract booklet of various national conferences. He has been shortlisted by his research and academic work recently, for Competitive ICS Cartilage International Clinical Fellowship Oct.-2015 to Milano,Italy under Prof.Alberto Gobbi. After this exclusive international training, he has started practice of Orthobiologics( PRP & Stem cells) use First time in Saurastra region of for Osteoarthritis knee ,Orthopedic Ligaments and Tendon problems. In last may he has been honored with most Prestigious award as "Young ISAKOS Schorlar" as 'Young Investigator's' by ISAKOS ( International society for Arthroscopy , knee surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) at Mexico,NorthAmerica in May.,2019.
